Library Offers Technology Classes
Category : Member Events
Macedon Public Library is offering a series of four classes to help get you up-t0-speed on the most popular Microsoft programs. The classes are in conjunction with Finger Lakes Community College, and thanks to funding from Senator Pam Helming. They will be held at the library on September 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Augment Your Business Skills
In these workshops, you’ll learn the basics for using the word processing program Microsoft Word, as well as how to create spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and professional visual presentations using Microsoft Powerpoint. Finally, you’ll put it all together and learn practical applications for these software tools in your business and industry. Time will be set aside to ask questions related to your specific needs for the software.
Advance Your Career With Microsoft
“This workshop series is aimed at anyone who believes their technology skills need improvement; especially those who are having a difficult time securing employment or advancing in their career due to a lack of required technology skills,” said Library Director Stacey Wicksall. In addition, participants who complete all four classes receive a certificate of completion from FLCC. There is no charge for this program, and no need to bring a laptop—the library will supply the computers.
There are only 15 spaces available in this series; register by calling 315-986-5932 to reserve your space.
