In the news this last week, Palmyra, New York, was the home for a Face to Face with Youth Discussion for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (a Canal Connection Chamber of Commerce member). Broadcast live from the Smith Farm in Palmyra, New York, this one-of-a-kind event is estimated to have an audience of over 1.5 million viewers. Live feeds joined two other groups – one in England, and the other in South Africa.

The job requires a self-starter able to: create a monthly e-newsletter, send monthly batch emails, interview and write articles on monthly highlighted businesses, use social media to update community members on all local events and write press releases. The Macedon Public Library is coordinating a health fair opportunity. In cooperation with Canal Connection Chamber of Commerce they will host an “Alternative and Holistic Health Fair”. We request all interested local practitioners of alternative and/or holistic health contact the library to propose an idea for a booth in this event. There is no fee to participate in the event. Booths must be informational and cannot involve the sale of goods or services for a profit. Business cards and other informational materials are permitted, as are complimentary demonstrations of services.
